You must use Visa Checkout as your Payment method to get the credit. Follow these instructions below if needed. You can pay with any credit card such as mastercard or American express but the payment method must be Visa Checkout

Open the app, click reload
Click Paying With, then click Payment methond then Add Card with Visa Checkout
Sign in and Choose your card then click Continue, then click the back button
Then click reload and Load $10 to the Starbucks app with Visa Checkout and you are done
